"Why not x museum?"
Certain museums have particularly draconian rules surrounding image rights for what are usually public domain works. Some insist on fees or excessive control over the works stored there in. As a booru, in truth we wouldn't be in any serious trouble over posting such images here. However, the booru envisions itself as a repository for easy to access and free to use images of historical art with the only limitation at most being crediting the photographer. You can upload images taken by you or other photographers of objects in these museums under the condition it follows the following licenses: help:license.
