This photograph shows the Mahdist elite killed at Umm Dibaykarat (24 November, 1899). Going from left to right, they are: the Khalifa Abdallahi, amir Ahmad Fadil, Khalifa Ali b. Muhammad Hilu, amirs al-Sanusi Ahmad and Harun b. Muhammad (brothers of Abdallahi, erraneously labled sons), and al-Siddiq al-Mahdi (son of Muhammad al-Mahdi).
